Landscape design is one of our favorite stages in the landscaping process.
Sometimes it is the only contact we have with a client because they are DIYers who just wanted a plan and some initial guidance. However, most of the time it is the first step into a long-term relationship. It is the start of a process and develops into friendship, not just a business transaction. This is the point where we share ideas, develop a long range view of the property and really explore the needs and wants of a client.
We have developed a Rivas Design signature style to ensure that our clients receive the greatest customization and care, starting from the very first pen stroke.

Cost and Ownership.
The cost of a customized plan will depend on the areas to be designed, their size and scope. In general, though, the range can be as low as $200 or as high as $900, with most falling in the $300-$500 range. When purchased a la carte, Rivas Design retains the copyright, but you may use it however you wish.
If the design is part of a landscaping proposal, Rivas Design retains complete ownership of the design until the project is performed by us. If the design is used for bidding purposes and it is determined that our design was used in the installation performed by another company, the client may be billed a $250 design fee, due upon receipt.
Additionally, our design service is a complimentary service that regular clients enjoy. Building relationships is a big part of our business.
